Make Up Forever!
So we went shopping today after I went to an exam and it was GREAT! We stopped by Sephora, one of my favorite stores! So we spent a couple hours there and tried everything we got our little hands on. My sister end up buying some lip stain, while I ended up buying some oils for my hair. Anyhow, right before we left the store I commented on the cashiers lipstick. I asked her what she had on because it look so great. It looked like bubble gum pink but with a little coral too. Anyhow, she turned out to be Hmong and showed me what she had on; she had on Make Up Forever #33. She was so nice and she gave me samples of her favorite colors and give me advice/tips! I was so excited I'm so going to go back when she's working!!!

Job Search
During these hard economic times finding a job is very tiresome. Seriously I apply for five jobs every other day only to wake up the next day with my email filled with auto replies or disappointing emails. Over the past few months I've only landed three interviews in which I felt as if they only needed to full fill their interview process because they already had people line up prior.
Every day I wish that someone could just pay me to travel and blog about my adventures around the world. If only that would be possible my blog here would be filled with wonderful stories! But since I'm still here trying to find a job to pay back all my student loans I will try to entertain you all with what I know and experience daily!
So I have come to a repeated cycle of job searching and would like to share some of my links. I don't know how you all find jobs but I feel that monster and career builder is filled with spam and job that seem too good to be true. I like to stick around to more reliable sources like the job center website and some how I really like Indeed.com. Depending on what kind of job you're looking for, such as government jobs you can try your state job site, USA Jobs for federal jobs and highered for post secondary education institution. If you're looking for a fast part time job I would suggest craigslist for those business that are looking for someone fast and don't really want or need to advertise it in the news paper. So with that said good luck to all!

Currently Reading
So I just finished the book "Eat Pray Love" while I was in Japan a few months ago and I would have to say it really tied up my traveling with self discovery. In this book the author talks about her failed marriage and her path to self discovery while traveling around the world. Even though at the time I was only in Japan for three months and working at an internship I felt the book related to me on a different level. Some of the things in the book she talked about really hit the spot and made me want to drop every thing and just travel. Before I left on this internship I though that I was in a sense running away from my responsibilities and relationship with the people around me. And I was running away temporarily and it made me realize a lot of things and I learned about things that I liked and dislike about traveling. I also realized I'm not really good adjusting to new environment and make new friends. I felt as if those three months were too fast and when I just started venturing out of my comfort zone it was already time to come home. Going to Japan those three months was not my first time leaving the country I had left the country several times before, but somehow this trip was the first time I was very homesick. Anyhow, now that I'm back home and have soaked up as much family as I need I feel the bug to jump on a plane and travel again! Anyhow, I'm getting off subject again...back to the book review. The book was I would say an easy read. Once you start reading you get really into the book and it gets to the point where you can't put it down. I would say when she starts talking about India I got kind of bored, but I think that part of the book was the most important. When I was reading the beginning and she talks about her fail marriage it makes me realize what my duties are really and what will my life be like. I don't want to be married and be obligated to act life a good wife and all. I hope that I do marry for the right reason and the right time. But this books just shows that things in life may not be what you hope it to be. And if my life does twist and turn like her...I'll be glad and it did and and that I'm happy! I also remember the part of the book where she talks about her adventures in Italy and the funny thing is I just went to see a movie filmed in Italy at the moment and it sure made me want to go to Italy. But the best part was the stories in Bali and the imagery portrayed in the book. I really would love to visit or even live there like she did. I met a girl while I was in Korea and she told me that the air line Air Aisa is super cheap to fly into Bali from SE Asia...that's one of my plans! I know that they already made this book in to a movie staring Julia Roberts, but you have to read the book. Let your mind ponder and create such imagery that Hollywood could never created!
Read it and enjoy it as I did and I will most likely re-read it again...on one of those rainy days!
My favorite quote from the book and basically the reason I started this blog:
"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it."
— Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love)

Happy Tuesday!
So today my brother and I went to see Captain America! I didn't really want to see the movie, but hey it was free movie since he paid. Overall it was an okay movie...your typical action hero movie. Now, the only thing I wish I could do from this movie is to place myself in that tube thing and transform my fat body in to that model like body! If only that could happen the world would be in chaos.
Talk about movie night, when I got home later tonight my sister and I also watched another movie. We watched that new horror movie Insidious! Now that was one scary movie! Lets just say the movie kept us on our toes tonight and we scream a bit. If you know me I don't get scared easily and most of these horror movies do not scare me, but somehow this one did. Lets just say this movie a bit like paranormal activity but not with a real live cam to make you dizzy. So you just add those hmong ghost stories like losing spirit and finding spirit plus hollywood and you get this scary movie. I suggest a watch for those of you would aren't scared and would like a good scare tonight!
On another note I want to watch the stars on a perfect clear night sky so I'll leave you the lyric from my earlier song post:
"Hlub Tsis Yooj Yim"

MN fun!
Had a great weekend in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I would say it was nice seeing my old college buddies and just chilling. We went out to Dive Bar our in Maplewood on Friday night. It was funny because it turned out that Friday night was line dancing night so it was pretty interesting. On Saturday night we went out in Uptown at Sushi Tango and Drinks; both places were pretty busy on a Saturday night. One thing I sure do love was the outside roof top experience at Drinks. Some how I loved the atmosphere and the crowd and it just made me want to move uptown!
I'm pretty exhausted from the weekend so this will be a short entry. Till next time take care!
